another 40th card

Just a quick post to share this card I made for hubbys 40th birthday on Australia Day. I love bright colours and try to incorporate a bit of my scrapping style into my cards. And being Aussie day, I used more blue.
items used: stamps - playful pieces, DSP, designer series paper stack, newsprint, foam dimensional tape, certainly celery ribbon, inks: pumpkin pie, marina mist, pear pizzazz, elegant eggplant

challenge page

I have just signed up to a challenge blog for Stampin' Up! lovers. The group is called Stampin' Up in Oz. The current challenge is to use the new Stampin' Up smooch spritz. This is my creation which serves a dual purpose, as I am also entering it to Scrapbooking Memories for a sibling page. I have used the silver smooch spritz over the background for a bit of shimmer and splatter.(although it doesnt show up very well in the photo)

40th Birthday card

Have been neglecting my blog a bit, so time to catch up. We had to go to a friends 40th lunch the other week, so I pulled out some stamps and came up with this.

items used: stamps - perfect punches and playful pieces (hostess set), inks-chocolate chip, pear pizzazz, poppy parade, pumpkin pie. DSP - newsprint (for the number 40) and the designer series paper stack, hemp twine.

Hope you like it, was a nice easy one to make.

Scrapbooking again

Here is another page using mostly Stampin' Up! products (everything except letters and cardstock)
Its a photo taken of me and my friend Melissa (Saa) while we were on a Scrap Girls retreat last March. We had such a fantastic weekend (I am going again this coming March)
Items used: older Stampin' Up! papers plus the current Newsprint DSP (Pg 127 of catalogue), inks: old olive, choc chip, peach parfait, real red and marina mist ink refill, misc older chipboard pieces, stamp set: playful pieces (hostess set) scallop trim border punch, gold smooch spritz (summer mini catalogue), champagne shimmer paint (pg 143 current catalogue) this paint is so much fun to use. It gives a very glittery effect when mixed with inks or used on its own. There are 3 different strengths to choose from. Contact me if you would like to order and try for yourself.
